Mens Hockey

We have a strong ever growing Men’s section, with 2 teams playing in the official league structures of South Central Hockey. We provide hockey for all abilities, experienced players, young developing players, and those who are new to hockey.

Mens 1st XI

Our Men’s first team compete in the South Central Division 4 (North), having solidified their position in the league over recent seasons. With a strong squad of experienced players playing excellent team hockey.

Our Men’s second team compete in the South Central Men’s Division 2 (Cherwell), having had successful seasons in recent years whilst developing our players and team play. This side provides the base for our younger and new to hockey players, giving them a good introduction to men’s hockey, alongside some of our more experienced players.

After playing hockey at school my son asked if we could find a local hockey club for him to learn and improve his hockey skills. We found Wootton Wanderers that was 3 years ago. Since then, he has worked his way through the junior section, I have started to play hockey and we have both been welcomed into the men’s section. The friendly and family environment at Wootton Wanderers, has pulled us in and got us both hooked on playing hockey. Running out to play hockey together (father and son) is amazing. Wooton Wanderers has quickly become not just a place to play hockey but a team we both feel we truly belong to. It’s a great place for us to spend quality time together, improve our skills and fitness, it has been fantastic to do this as a family. Overall, I can’t speak highly enough of Wootton Wanderers Hockey Club.
