The L1s had another double header weekend facing Bicester on the Saturday and Henley on the Sunday.
Having faced a narrow defeat against Bicester in our away fixture we knew they were a quick and skilled team and we would have had to be disciplined to control the game.

Wanderers controlled the play, displaying strong passing play and making effortless leads down the pitch. Bicester fought back breaking through with speed but neither team were able to find the nets before half time.

At half time we wanted to maintain our discipline, however pressure mounted and players were beginning to lose their composure.

As the whistle blew for the second half Bicester kicked into gear early and put the pressure on Wanderers, and after some scrappy play and some flying sticks slotted one through the defence 0-1 to Bicester!
The rest of the second half looked much like the first, with some moments of fiest and angst from players overtaking the good play seen from the teams.

The game ended in a 1-0 defeat for the wanderers, however heads were kept high at the end, and during the post game chat each Defender – Abby, Millie, Steph, Barnwell – received a MOM vote, with young Ellie winning for the second week in a row!
