It didn’t take long for the excitement to kick off, as Julie opened the scoring with a thunderous strike from a penalty corner. Thame struggled to respond, finding their attempts thwarted by a rock-solid Wanderers defense that refused to budge. Julie added another goal from the top of the D, showcasing her skills and giving the crowd something to cheer about.
Continuing her scoring spree, Julie netted a third goal from the top of the D, leaving the Thame defense reeling. With Sally and Jodie orchestrating play in the middle, the Wanderers dominated possession, leading to Lily-May finding the net with a beautifully placed shot from another penalty corner. Refueled by Trudy’s famous sweeties, the Wanderers returned to the pitch with renewed vigor. Amy soon added to the scoreline, converting a penalty corner with precision. Jodie followed suit, finishing off a slick team play with a well-deserved goal.
The final flourish came from Amy again, capping off a fantastic performance with another expertly executed penalty corner. The final score reflected the Wanderers’ dominance: a whopping 7-0 victory.
