Mixed Hockey
Our Mixed teams compete in various formats throughout the year, focusing on a mixture of competitive and social hockey to cater to all abilities.
Every year, the Mixed XI enter the “EH Mixed Tier 1 KO Championships” where over 200 teams compete in a knock-out competition. This is great for our Mixed XI to challenge themselves against a variety of teams outside of our normal leagues, and compete to win the final cup or plate.
Throughout the year we organise several mixed friendly games both inter-club and against local teams, so those who want the extra run around have the option to do so. These are inclusive of all levels & abilities, aiming to build confidence, skills and socials between everyone, so please reach out if you’re interested.
Summer League
Over the summer, we enter into 3 local mixed summer leagues and a ladies 7-a-side, with the aim to socialise, have fun & incorporate some fitness during the off-season. Summer league is an excellent opportunity for all club players of mixed abilities to interact and help each other grow and develop by learning to play with each other.
During the summer our weeks look like this:
Monday – Towcester Mixed SL (NN12 8AW)
Tuesday – Wellingborough Ladies 7-a-side (NN8 2DQ)
Wednesday – Milton Keynes Mixed SL (MK6 3EA)
Thursday – Moulton Mixed SL (NN3 7QL)
Tour/Festival
We place a number of teams into some hockey based tours, festivals, charity events & competitions. These vary year to year but with a mixed WhatsApp chat, we can distribute this information easily.
A regular trip we make in July is to the local Towcester Hockey Festival. We enter two teams in to compete over the 2 full days of 7-a-side mixed hockey. Due to its location, people are able to decide whether they would like to camp or not, all while still enjoying the full weekend & able to dress up to the chosen theme.
These teams are open to non-members so if this is something you’d like to join, we will happily include you!
