MATCH REPORT M2 v Tring 2’s
Wootton Wanderers 2’s put in a commanding performance against Tring 2’s, running out 4–0 winners in style.
Alex was the first to get his his name on the scoresheet with a tidy finish (at the 3rd attempt), Josh was perfectly placed at the back post, tapping in before half time to give Wootton a strong 2-0 lead.
A reminder from the skipper at half time for the wingers to do exactly what Josh did for his goal, resulted in Josh getting his second in at the back post. He nearly grabbed himself a hat-trick but controversially avoided a jug. Chris rounded off the scoring with a strike from a short corner to seal a well-deserved 4-0 win.
The game wasn’t without its drama though… John managed just ten minutes before hobbling off, only to be replaced by Mark – who was also carrying a knock. Wootton clearly running a “one leg in, one leg out” substitution policy.
A great team effort, a clean sheet, and plenty to celebrate in the bar afterwards.
