Founded in 2013, and affiliated with England Hockey, we are immensely proud of how the Club has developed over the last 10 years. We have grown substantially, and now have enough members to support two senior men’s teams, four ladies’ senior teams and a thriving juniors’ section but we are always looking for more to join us!!
OUR COMMITTEE A Message From The Chair - Lee Thompson
It is a great honour to represent Wootton Wanderers Hockey Club as chair, with a club made up of members of all ages and from a variety of backgrounds, we are here to make hockey happen.
Wootton Wanderers Hockey Club was developed as a family-friendly, inclusive hockey club. Our aim is to be able to provide hockey for everyone at every level.
Founded in 2013 and having just completed our 10th competitive season, we are the proud home to 4 ladies teams, 2 men’s teams, and 3 summer mixed teams. We also offer training sessions on Saturday mornings for juniors and adults who would like to try hockey, either for the first time, or getting back into it after some time out!

We take immense pride in celebrating both team accomplishments and individual excellence. Over the years, our commitment to the sport has resulted in a collection of prestigious awards that reflect our dedication and passion. We cherish our past achievements and continue to honor our dedicated members who make our club a vibrant and supportive community.
Mission
The foundation of Wootton Wanderers was to promote affordable, friendly and competitive hockey for everyone. We pride ourselves on being inclusive and supportive to all of our members.
Throughout all of our squads, you will find a balance of youth and experience, with everyone having their part to play in the balance of the team.
We are always looking to grow our club at all levels, bursting through the league structure to have a team at our highest possible level, while maintaining teams lower down the league structure to help develop those new to the sport.
We currently provide league hockey for 4 Ladies and 2 Mens teams, as well as entering several mixed teams into multiple leagues through the summer. We also enter the England Hockey’s Mixed Championships each year. Our aim is to build on this, to add development teams to both Ladies and Mens sections, and compete in tournaments for mixed hockey each season.
